WOHP vs SAHP

I thought that we had one Stay At Home Pet and one Wanders Out Home Pet. I am increasingly realising that dboycat is only pretending to be a WOHP and really just sneaks to the bottom of the garden to sleep and have some peace away from his sister. He's kind of like the husband who has been made redundant but still gets up to go to work everyday but just hangs out around the corner. He has to our knowledge only caught two things (other than insects/spiders) in three years, although to be fair that is two more than his sister.

So are your cats SAHP or WOHP?

I enjoyed the 'redundant husband' observation. The majority of my 20 plus cats never leave the house/garden. The furthest any seem to go is the roof of the house across the gardens that catches the sun. None of them ever catch anything.

My kitten (8 months) has only just started going out. I'm a nervous wreck about it so I really hope she ends up just hanging around the garden and not catching things. I have my doubts though 😞

He was WOHP but now he's 8 it's more part time. What he really likes doing is watching ndn cat in his garden & being outraged.

Not outraged enough to go down & kick off but outraged nonetheless.

He definitely used to be WOHP as he and his sister were sleeping rough before we took them on and she was very skinny but he was still a fair weight.

It sounds as if Fluffycloudland77cat is the nosey neighbourhood watch co-ordinator. Thecatneuter 's pride of cats sound more like my boy - hang out in the garden and hope that no one notices you. Think he has realised that with food on the table everyday he doesn't need to bother.

As ours were outside living rough before they fully decided that we would make good slaves (at least until a better offer came along) I haven't been through that stage Hookedoncatnip . I guess it is probably a bit like sending the older dc out to the shop though. You know it is the next step but you do hope they don't get in trouble!
