My cat is 7 years old and has recently started to eat loads, she's constantly asking for food. I've wormed her and she hasn't lost weight. She's also started to wee in my bedroom . Nothing has changed , no new pets , no change to routine . Can anyone help please ?

I think you need a vet for her.

She needs to go to a vet to be checked out

What could be wrong with her?

The vet will tell you.

Could be a number of things. Is she more vocal? Thyroid makes them eat constantly, more vocal and fur falls out more easily. I'm not a vet and Vet is your best bet.

Could be diabetic. Or have hypothyroid.needs to see a vet really!or if she becomes really I'll.then out will cost more to get her better maybe!

She needs a vet. Could be any number of things. Weeing can be a UTI or behavioural but could be other things too.

My cat is the same, she is 15, has lost weight, eats laods and if only it was just pee in my bedroom. So far had every test under the sun. They can't find anything wrong with her.
However the symptoms syggest in a 7 year old cat you should exclude diabetes and hyperthyroidism.
If they are negative is she being terrorised by a feral cat outdoors?

CremeFresh · 26/08/2017 21:47

A trip to the vet it is . I thought she was just being her contrary self, going off food that she normally loves and peeing to express her indignation that I didn't feed her immediately.

That's entirely possible creme , they can be awkward little sods, but getting the vet to rule out anything else is a wise decision!
