Recommendations for a clumping cat litter please?!

Hi, our cat will only use an indoor litter tray to do her business. She also never apparently learned to cover up her mess in the litter tray from her mother. She uses the tray and just leaves her business behind her - always has done. We've been using Oko Cats Best natural clumping litter, which was ok but it recently seems to have stopped clumping (!?!) and is also not v good at odour minimizing, although it is flushable, which is convenient. I clear the litter box at least once a day and clean the tray completely out once a week. We use plastic liners too. Can you please recommend a great, clumping, odour-minimising cat litter? All suggestions very gratefully received - getting a little tired of the constant low level smells.....

I use Morrisons clumping litter. Cheap and cheerful and does the job. I also keep a can of air freshener nearby lol

Golden Grey, not the cheapest but best I've found. Buy it online at zooplus, smells like baby powder! Costs about £20 for a couple of bags, that last us 2 months or so with 3 cats.

I use the Aldi cat litter, cheap as I clean it out every day.

The best thing for reducing smell is feed the best quality cat food you can, the difference when I moved my cat from Whiskas to a high quality cat food was amazing, half the size and not smelly. Doesn't help the wee though.

I use Golden Grey too. Before that I used Worlds best (also from good old Zooplus), which is quite similar to Cats Best, as in it's biodegradable. Both clump up well.

World's Best is amazing. expensive but totally worth it. i get ours from Amazon..

Intersand extreme classic. Scoop once a day and full change monthly. No smell at all and that's with 2 indoor cats.

My cat usually goes outside, but we use catsan litter. Can't recommend it enough.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions - and for the Zooplus tip; had never heard of it before! Been getting swizzed at our local pet store ;-)

We have two indoor cats and have tried most of the more common/popular brands (the ones available in supermarkets anyway).
My favourite is Coshida from Lidl. £1.49.

We change the trays each morning & scoop as required, but do find considerably less odour and higher absorbency with the Lidl one.

I like Lidl hygiene litter, its very similar to catsan xx

We've used the standard clumping (not ultra clumping) litter from Sainsbury's for years. Cheap and it works well. Tried a few others but never found one that works as well for us (3 cat household at present). Not flushable - we bag the used litter and bin.

I don't use any clay based litter due to the chance of it causing an obstruction in a small cat or kitten as it forms lumps if licked off paws and swallowed.

Have been using Oko Cats Best Nature Gold from Zooplus for a few years, it is a pellet wood based one and not as messy as the regular OKO Cats Best but it isn't as good as it used to be. The Cats Best OKO has really gone downhill so I wouldn't recommend it any more.

Greenwoods is probably the one I will order next time.
