Now, a year on, mice.
So how does that work?!AngryAngryAngry

You had lots of mice before but you didn't hear them!

You sound a tiny bit ungrateful that your splendid felines are good enough to offer you precious gifts.

Watto1 · 22/07/2017 20:33

I had never seen a mouse before I got my cat either. Such a coincidence Grin

NotAnotheChinHair · 22/07/2017 20:33

I faked gratitude with the worms, but mice??? MICE????!!!!

I also didn't realise we had slow worms and frogs in the garden until WattoCat came to live with us. Trying to catch a frog leaping around the kitchen 2 minutes before I had to leave for work is not an experience I would like to repeat!

Try 12 years on and then the bugger starts catching rats

YetAnotherSpartacus · 23/07/2017 08:58

I'm confused. Are you seeing dead ones, suggesting that puss is doing you a favour by catching the mousies that you didn't know were there, or are you seeing live ones coming in to visit and maybe have dinner with their new furry friend?

My cat loves to bring in a live mouse to play with in the comfort of her own home. We do not welcome this.

SuperRainbows · 23/07/2017 09:05

I've lived in current house 27 years and never seen a frog until we got cats. They've brought in about 8 in the last month!

The cats don't hurt them, but the sight of a cat carrying a frog in it's mouth with legs spewing everywhere is truly awful!

My dd10 recognised a certain 'frog' miaow yesterday and true enough there were two frogs in the hall. They seem to play dead on their backs, but the cats gently turn them over and they start jumping around.

They take ages to catch.

They bring them home alive...some escape.

They bring them home alive!

We've had several mice in the house, both dead and alive, since we got our cat. Never saw one before. I've managed to catch a couple and put them back in the field opposite. The joy of having cats..!
