Can I stop another cat bullying my cat in our garden?

There is a relatively new bruiser of a cat in the neighbourhood who is bullying our cat. This evening there was a standoff with our cat under a patio chair and the bruiser just a metre away. One of them was making a very deep sound over c.7 minutes. I thought it was a power tool but assume this was actually bruiser cat. It took me quite a lot of effort to shoo the cat away.

Is there anything I can do to make the bruiser not come in our garden or hassle our cat?

Send your cat for some self defense lessons.

(Sorry!)

Water pistol? I used a super soaker on the unneutered Tom who was harassing pyjamacat. He stays out of our garden now.
I have also supplied water pistols to neighbours who weren't keen on having pyjamacat visiting their gardens.

Or teach it nonchalance.

We have supersoakers. I shall have to load them up.

I always feel it's best to let them sort it out between themselves. It's natural for new cats to the area to assert themselves in the pecking order. Unless things turn to violence, I'd let them whinge at eachother all they want.

I second the self defence. I think Cookie might benefit from same.

I could bring her after her Mandarin lessons, or maybe her yoga (see below). So expensive, but worth every penny.
