Tips for moving house with a cat

As title says we are after some tips for moving house with a cat.
We've bought her a new bowl, a new bed & new scratching post for her to use now so she's already used to it.
She's more of a house cat when she does go out she only sits in our garden.
Our new house is on a quiet estate & opposite an old people's home so not alot of traffic. I just don't want her to go to the new house & start marking/spraying. Smile any tips would be much appreciated.

I'd whack her on zylkene, it really calms them. Pets at home do it.

We let ours introduce himself to the house & crept around slowly with his back lowered.

Make sure the cat is kept in a pet carrier until the removal is finished, preferably in the garden in a quiet spot. Then make sure the cat is kept indoors for three weeks, and then only let it out for short supervised periods. Then put butter on its paws and let it out for half an hour once it has acclimatised over several trips outside with you present. Then call him/her in. Build up gradually. Ive moved lots of times with cats.

Be prepared for her to take her time getting used to the new house. Our two spent the first couple of weeks sleeping in my bed - as in under the duvet - and curled up in the smallest shelf they could find.

I have moved house several times with my two cats, one of which used to urinate due to stress when we first brought him home. I always keep them in my bedroom for the first two days, until things have calmed down. By that time they are keen to get exploring. Once they leave the bedroom, they have access to the rest of the house and outside (I have a dog, our door is always open so isn't feasible to keep them in. I've never had any problems with them getting lost).

I think moving house with the same owners is much less scary then moving to a new house with new owners, so the stress peeing has never re-occured.
