Only eating the jelly..

Both cats only eat the jelly in the wet food, they always leave the chunks. They have dried food which they both nibble on. Just seems wasteful and wondered if anyone has any ideas to try.

Yup pixie it is. Thrive is a similar complete food.

Well I tried the Sheba fine flakes and they've just about polished it off! thanks whoever suggested that! More expensive but they're worth it Smile

I think it was me. Its often on offer mine likes it its a shame they do t do a kitten version.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 27/06/2017 22:49

If you cover the food with a Lick e Lix ,I bet it'll get eaten Wink

dementedpixie · 28/06/2017 07:50

I said Sheba fine flakes too. Morrisons have them at £4 Just now and my local home bargains has some for £3.69.

There is a lack of kitten ranges tbh. Mine still get AVA kitten dry food but get adult wet food after refusing most kitten wet foods. They are 7 months old now

EachandEveryone · 28/06/2017 09:28

Whiskas or Felix innthe supermarket it's ridiculous mine are getting picked up in an hour they are going to be so pissed off when they realise Felix isn't on offer!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 28/06/2017 10:14

I think there's a lack of senior ranges as well. Harry eats Natures Menu and they do one flavour that, needless to say, he's not keen on. We've left him on the normal ones as he's happy with them.

EachandEveryone · 29/06/2017 23:24

God that Wainwrights I bought is useless they are both now licking the gravy why don't they just sell bags of sauce as it's the moisture they like they eat their good quality dry no problem.

dementedpixie · 29/06/2017 23:27

Mine went off the wainwrights kitten food. They don't like pate style either which rules out quite a few kitten ranges

EachandEveryone · 29/06/2017 23:59

My big girl likes either the plain shredded chicken from Sainsbury's with taste the difference which I like as well as u can see it's all meat or Sheba the kitten is also liking this more than her own food but she has really expensive Canadian dry kitten food so I'm now thinking I'll just let her have the adult wet she was mainly on dry in the rescue and also the cattery last week said she neve bothered that much with the wet

DoraDad · 12/12/2017 22:29

My boy is the same. When he small he ate all but then he start having this behaviour coz we gave too much food. He still eats dry food ok. So I try establish meal time, and only give him enough food. Any leftover will be cling film and keep in fridge for next meal. You can try mixing the chunky food with other food which your cats love. Dry food have good smell so is a good mix. Or mix with royal canning or gourmet

ProperLavs · 12/12/2017 22:34

Mine does this too. He won't even touch Sheba., drives me mad!

Oops4 · 12/12/2017 22:46

My cat does that too. We feed her mostly dry but she gets wet for a treat and her favourite by far are he whiskas soup. She was at the cattery recently and they commented that they were loved but lots of he cats that were staying.
