When to let kittens outside?

Hi
Have 2 kittens
(& 3 adult cats) the adult cats have been indoors/outdoors cats for years (they are all 11) I can hardly remember what it was like when they were kittens.
My 2new kittens are now 7 1/2 months old
They have been spayed & chipped.... however I am terrified to let them outside,
What if they get lost? How will they know where home is?
Our garden is big, but not secure. There is no way to enclose it all.
Lots of ways in & out etc.
The kittens are desperate to get out.
They see the other 3 outside & are going mad at being kept in.
Tell me it will be ok!
Not sure what do to for the best.

Let them out in the morning when you can supervise - before feeding them! Leave the door open. Let them have a wander round. Chances are they'll be quite skittish and nervous. As long as they can see how to ge back into the house, they should be fine. It's so scary but they'll be fine!

We let our kittens outside from as soon as they want - we are on a farm though. They soon come in when hungry

I let mine out once they were neutered (4 months) but for the first few weeks they were supervised and picked off of fences if they climbed up. They are 7 months old now and I let them go over fences and hope they come back (They have so far). I have dreamies in a tub and they have been quite good at coming back when they hear it being shaken
