Colin's getting a new playmate!

He just popped up on my local rescue shelters page. So cute, he's so tiny he fits in my hand! I want to call him Jeffrey. Dh is refusing to talk to me but look at his ickle face squeeeeeee

He hasn't hissed at him, he tried to launch himself out of dh's arms at Jeff. And was pawing and scratching at the door when he was taken out. I've plugged in feliway today in both downstairs main rooms and may think about getting them to meet tomoreow

Ok so they've met. A mixed response from Colin. He hissed once and growled a couple times (which I've never heard or seen him do before), but ears were forward. He backed away from Jeff a couple times, Jeff mostly moved away at the Moises and a couple times came forward towards Colin. He did manage to corner himself in the bathroom with Colin blocking the door and Colin did swipe at him when he tried to get past. Shortly after that I rescued Jeff and put him back in his 'safe room'.. then Colin went outside. Will have another go a. It later. I don't know how we are supposed to know that they are safe to leave downstairs together without us there to supervise and step in when necessary.

Jeffrey is ridiculously cute. Now I want a kitten. Sadly I'm not sure that a whippet puppy and a kitten is a good mix

the reaction you got is perfectly normal all colin is doing is letting jeffery know that he is the top cat in the house and as his ears were forward that is a good sign, i would just let them get on with it under supervision only intervene if it looks like colin intends to eat jeffery
