that CandleCat2 always manages to disappear when I want need to take him to the vet? He was inside yesterday as we had all that rain, but I couldn't take him then, as I had a hospital appointment of my own that took up a large chunk of the day. He doesn't come when he is called, but I am concerned about him. He has a thyroid problem and the medication doesn't really agree with him that well and he has started throwing up again. He is thin and looks stiff and frail now. He seems happy enough in himself and is eating, but he needs his bloods done and he's nowhere to be seen!

How do they always know??? CandleCat1 is in the basket that CandleCat2 was in when I left to walk the dog, so I suspect CandleCat1 bullied his brother to get into the favourite basket. I tell you, toddlers are less of a problem!

cats are masters at avoiding vet visits i had a stray that i took in and when i had got his confidence back i booked him in for neuter, haha did he lead me a merry dance, attempt number 1 he didnt even come in for his breakfast, (as i had taken him in from totally scared timid stray to reasonably friendly accepting my house i had let him out night before), attempt number 2 next week he came home alright limping cos he had a fight with some cat, so instead of neuter he got anti Bs and cost me an extra £78 , attempt number 3 i kept him in all night howling and battering the windows, put him in his carrier as soon as i got up, no way was he getting away with anything third time, neuter one cat nil

I've just had the groomer out to mine. Maia hid behind the kitchen unit. Thought she wasn't going to come out but she did eventually and Is now having a complete melt down. She looks gorgeous though!

CandleCat2 came back for seconds of breakfast the moment the open clinic had closed for the vet. He arrived in a few minutes ago, wailing at me for no apparent reason, had some tea and has buggered off again. I shall have to get the carrier out of the shed and hide it in the house. We don't have a litter tray indoors as they hate using it, so shutting him up all night isn't really an option and when we used to keep them in all night, he would never arrive home until the wee small hours.

Sigh I'll try again tomorrow morning. Its meant to be wet, so perhaps he'll be inside...

I don't know how they know, but they do. Old cat used to teleport through walls. I used to corral her in one room, shut the door and she would appear in a different part of the house. Current cat likes his carrier, likes the car, likes the vet, likes everything and everyone really. Suspect he is part dog....
