Here's my old boy. 20 years old, contrary as ever, takes everything for granted, makes a mess wherever he goes, yowls his head off through the night, costs a fortune, poos on the carpet then walks away, up-chucks on regular basis, basically couldn't give a toss, but he's mine and I wouldn't be without him, although I know that time is coming very soon.

Will you share your golden oldies?

xx

Mine spent the night at the vets on Friday cos he had a bladder infection and had to be put on a drip and catheter. I thought it was his time to leave me and was very upset, but lovely vet said he wasn't ready yet, TG.

Want2 we got her as a kitten

Vinorosso74 · 06/06/2017 08:02

Calling the vets as soon as they open today, she's struggling to pee and it's a bit bloody. They do like to worry us.

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 06/06/2017 12:56

We have an appt at 5:30pm .... I think this might be the end for her

Big hugs Vino xxx

Thoughts for your lovely lady inaclearing

Vinorosso74 · 06/06/2017 13:31

Oh I'm sorry inaclearing; how horrible for you. Lots of strokes and cuddles for your girl.
Vinocat is doing okay, vet has sent off some pee samples and ran bloods which showed she has an infection. Got some antibiotics but depending on what pee results show may need different ones.

inaclearingstandsaboxer · 06/06/2017 19:33

She is still with us!

Now on kitty crack aka Loxicom

Had another elderly cat on it so we know the draw backs but I think the positives outweigh the negatives.

Thank you

Just saw update on your other thread too. I'm so pleased for you!

PicInAttic · 06/06/2017 20:19

Making me cry too and am also going to blame PMT not generally soppiness. My oldies are no longer with us but boy cat made it to 15 and girl cat to 17. So glad some have stuck around even longer. Heartbreaking when they go but such good memories.

greenwool · 06/06/2017 20:21

That's a relief! Hugs to all the elderlies. Ours is just a bit creaky so far.

Want2beme · 06/06/2017 20:34

inaclearing isn't that great. It's such a relief when vet says they're ok once again.
