I hate the pine furniture in our bedroom and this cupboard in particular as it doesn't even match. Unfortunately Harry has adopted it as his. The cupboard stays doesn't it?

Poor snookums is now curled up next to me on the recliner. He has most of it, I'm sitting at a strange angle while he works out other ways to shove me off completely!

I think Yesitsme. Might be onto something with the blanket idea. Worth a try anyway. He's so gorgeous I want to eat him.

I'm passing all these compliments on to him but I'm getting worried he won't get his head through the cat flap!

It's nice that he's getting compliments though as so far this week he's been told he's getting on a bit (vet), he's a bit lardy (vet nurse) and he's a heffalump (neighbour)! He's not had a good week so far bless him!

Well, if you are thinking of painting it, you need to get it dipped first to remove wax and varnish ( £100 or so) then spend days sanding, base coating and painting (non-stick, fumeless expensive pain, say £100 or so). Then you can take it to the tip, because he won't like it any more.....

He's a beautiful, big, splodgy boy, by the way Smile

We usually end up keeping cardboard boxes for a few months due to the same reason!

Toddlerteaplease · 28/05/2017 19:11

Snorg got told by the vet when she was critically ill that she was very fat. And her notes make several references to her obesity, lack of neck etc. I was offended on her behalf, she was too poorly to care at the time but not happy when she did find out! She was 4.9kg at the time.

Paper is more Harry's thing. We have wrapping paper from Christmas and the local free paper as he likes to sit on them...

Toddler I am also offended on Snorg's behalf, she's gorgeous!

Aww he has a bowl with his name in. That is too cute.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 29/05/2017 22:53

I also had a bowl made with a drawing of his face on it. He refused to eat from it! As well as the bowl he's got a few personalised blankets as well.

Harry says goodnight to all his friends on the Litter Tray...

Harry has had a bad day. It started with me trying to feed him Aldi cat food instead of Natures Menu, and it ended with him being moved off the recliner so DH could sit on it. In DH's defence, he usually moves if Harry wants the recliner but he'd been breaking up concrete in the front garden and is aching! I don't think that's an excuse as far as Harry is concerned...

Poor Harry. Snorg and fatty send their sympathy!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 03/06/2017 22:37

I should point out that we have a 5 seater sofa so he wasn't reduced to sitting on the floor!

He'll be even less happy tomorrow as Operation Cat Wee gets underway. The non absorbing litter will be going in the tray and DH is in charge of collecting the sample. That's if there is a sample. I can't help feeling he's going to refuse to use the litter tray!

NO NO NO! You can't paint it, it'll be a waste of time. I had cream throws from when my three cats were kittens and decided to dye them to match the room. They refused to lie on them after that. I had them for THREE YEARS and they loved them until they changed colour. 😐
