My little girl (6months) was spayed yesterday. Our lovely vet said she'd probably be quiet for a day or two. Keep her quiet, not jumping up etc.

She was like a wild beast. Every thing in the room freaked her out. Her eyes were on stalks. It was awful. She was actually trying to bite her wound. We managed (only just) to get the collar thing on her. That just made her worse. She was flipping in mid air trying to get it off.

In desperation I wrapped her in a towel and took her to my bedroom. Sat in the dark with her. Poor little thing fell asleep. She woke every hour or so but settled with reassurance. She's eaten this morning and is asleep again.

Her brother ( year older, same parents different litter) was exactly the same when he was neutered at the same age.

DerpyMoggyGirl was as the vet said, bit quiet but normal.

Old Siamese boy ( no longer alive) reacted badly too.

Is this a thing or is it just my babies?

All my Siamese have been fine, nut I have heard of others reacting like this. Maybe a call to the vet for reassurance? What a lovely little girl cat!

One of my Burmese went loopy with anaesthetic. The other got cystitis. Both are healthy 3 yr olds now and luckily haven't needed anaesthesia since.,
