Less traumatic flea and worm treatment...?

Hi - sorry if this has been asked/answered before. Our cats are nervous rescues who we've won round with love and patience. Trouble is, this all gets ruined once a month when we have to squirt Broadline on the backs of their necks. They HATE it and basically think we're abusing them... then it takes a few weeks for them to trust us again and then it's time to repeat the procedure! We tried tablets, which was even worse. Is there any other way of doing this? It makes me so sad.

We have the Program injection for fleas at the vets plus a worming tablet twice a year for both, so once alongside yearly jabs and then six months later. Our two hated the spot-ons too.

I wondered if that was an option - I honestly think they'd prefer twice yearly trips to the vets and at least then they'd hate the vet not us! Thank you. Do you know if that covers ticks as well?

My cats have an anti-flea injection too. It has been much more reliable than monthly frontline treatment, which seemed to stop working for one of my cats.

I don't think it covers ticks, no, best to ask your vet about it though.

Thanks all!
