What collar?

Our Mr Black Cat has grown out of his collar, and then lost (after only a week!) his new one.
His original one was a puppy collar with a push release buckle as the quick release kitten ones wouldn't stay on him. The replacement was a cat one made by Rogs, and he's lost it along with the tag.
After quite a heavy duty collar that will stay on.
Thank you :)

I'm so surprised by people being so against collars. I have known a cat to get his leg stuck in every one that was put on him until his owners gave up. My fear is that someone will think he's a stray and take him in. My cat has not had any trouble with this collar (not in this colour but they do loads of colours) it's from pets at home and I always have a stock of at least 4 because for safety they do snap off.

They snap off easily enough for him to sometimes go through two a day for four consecutive days but then he can have another one on for 6 months without it snapping off. I think it depends upon what tree he's climbing or what adventures he's in the mood for on a given week. If they do snap off we tend to have them posted through the door as I always put an address barrel on it too.

Please don't slate me for putting a collar on him.

I watch too many vet programmes. One where a car caught its leg through the collar and wasn't found for days. Leg was amputated. Grim. Poor cat.

Obviously I've caused a bit of a stir here.
That wasn't my intention.
I love my cat and my puppy and my tortoise
I will talk to the vet about what's best.
