Kitten/cat foods that are chunky rather than pate style?

I have been trying different foods with my kittens and so far they seem to prefer foods that are in chunks rather than food that is smooth and needs cutting up. I had used bozita but it had too much jelly and they went off it. Was using feringa but it is pate style and they seem to be going off that too. Their favourites just now are James wellbeloved lamb which has bits of meat in a sauce and wainwrights tuna which is smooth style but is very meaty, plus they just seem to like the tuna flavour. Wanted to give more variety but it's costing me every time I buy something they reject

What foods do yours like and are any of them chunky rather than smooth?

Ah,more fussy Kittens!
Mine seem to eat a brand happily for 2-3 meals, then turn their tiny noses up & mew mew around the kitchen as if their bowls are empty.

I've started rotating a few brands of foods, seems to be working for them at the moment.
I'll check which are more chunky when bedtime is done.

Gourmet. Cats can't resist gourmet & its 14% protein.

Mine aren't really fussy, but they like Butchers Classic, which is chunks in jelly (and grain free). They also like Encore, which is just like flakes of fish.

Applaws is what my cat can't resist, the chicken and pumpkin in broth is the firm favourite, real chicken breast and looks good enough for me to eat! It's not a complete food so we rotate it with bozita and amiconda carny. Have you also tried the bozita in sauce rather than jelly? My cat prefers those.

I hadn't because they are only 6 months old so had given them the kitten one that only comes in 1 flavour in jelly.

Kitten food is just smaller pieces when you're feeding a high quality food, the nutritional content in high quality adult is just fine.

Sorry DP forgot to come back !
I've got a selection of :

Cosima
Encore kitten
Applaws (chicken)
Applaws (salmon & tuna )
Animonda Carney? Kitten
Lilys Kitchen kitten
Smila kitten
& Natures Menu kitten

The Applaws goes down well,it's strands or chunks, they have one every few days.
The Natures Menu is chunky compared to the other brands.
Cosima is flaked /chunkier than others I've tried.

I add a little water to their food anyway so apart from the Applaws it's all forked up.
I also put down a small saucer of dry food, either Ainmonda or Lilys Kitchen, always a snack available if they want one.
If yours like something to chew could you sprinkle some dry on their food?

In my next order I will get some Bozita as I've seen it mentioned here a lot.

I'm glad you mentioned that CatchingBabies,I know with dogs that the high quality foods are suitable from weaning but it has been a long time since we'd had kittens around,I wasn't sure.

I bought some butchers stuff today and they have eaten some of the beef one. It's grain and sugar free which is a bonus. I've got a selection of uneaten kitten foods to donate to the rspca that has a basket in my local Tesco!

That's one for my list, not tried it with mine,is it Kitten or cat section?

Mine have just turned their noses up at the Animonda lamb in a tray, they loved the tinned & sachets in the same brand.
It was quite a good price for the kitten trial pack on zoo plus.

It's cat food and they don't have a kitten option
