Do you continue with kitten food until 1 year?

Did you all stick to kitten food for the first 12 months as there is a much smaller selection of kitten food? Didn't know if it would be ok to stick to the kitten dry food but use adult wet food to supplement it.

Kittens are 6 months old and neutered. One is about 2.5kg and the other is just over 3kg

I'd say they need complete kitten food up to a year. I think there are some breeds that need to stay on kitten food up to 18 months. Someone might know better than me.

Orijen is for both cats and kittens. My 2 find it most toothsome., and it doesn't contain cereals/grains.

I'm ok with dry stuff but wondered about wet food as they have that twice a day too

I had been wondering this too. Kitten is 8mo but insists on swapping dishes with 6yo cat unless I give them the same food. I have a feeling that adult food would be better for kitten that kitten food is for adult cat (who is often sick after wolfing it down). I police it by standing between them when I can, but do dh and dd don't have the patience to do this

My boy is around 10 months and I've just started buying adult food, I got his dry food in a 3 for 2 deal so he still has a full bag of kitten biscuits but he definitely prefers the bigger chunks of the adult wet food. Hope I'm not doing him a disservice Confused

My vet told me to stop feeding the kitten food once they were neutered.

Mine got neutered at just over 4 months which may have been a bit young to switch. Should maybe ask the vet and see what they think

Mine were teeny tiny kittens so had to wait quite a while to be neutered.
