She is a bit confused & is going home to read up about it

We have no idea how to fix him; any suggestions?

Right his potassium is still very low (3 enema today) & the hormone that controls the potassium is also low(the vet did tell me the name but I forgot it)

He hasn't been sick since last wed, but neither has he pooped by himself - poor pet is so constipated

He is having his electrolytes checked again tomorrow & more bloods

His poo is at least soft now- could it be megacolon if he has no diahorrea at all?

Megacolon is usually more associated with constipation than diarrhoea. What can appear to be diarrhoea is the liquid that gets around the harder faeces.

Your vet is in a much better position to judge what is happening obviously as has access to all the test results and is with the cat. Megacolon is just one consideration.

She is sending off more test - potassium still low, sodium ok

He has soft poo now but he hasn't been since the enema yesterday

Glad he's pooed Smile
What was it like?

katymac · 30/04/2017 20:31

Softer than I have seen it before, normally it's nuggets squashed together but it was more sausage like

On but not diahorrea (sp) & his fur is smoother
