Cat allergy

I used to have a cat as a child - a very independent outdoorsy one. No problem whatsoever.

And then - very little contact with any, for years. Roll on to this month when we adopted a lovely little kitten. The DD and myself adore her. But ever since she arrived, I very had a tickle throat, which feels a little more than just tickly tonight. I can breath OK and am not wheezing I think. Just coughing a bit and feeling not quite right...

No itchy eye or sneezing - just the throat. I am however now panicking that it is allergy, that it could be getting worst etc....

What the fuck do I do?
Could this get very much worst fast?

I'm really allergic to some cats. Most cats actually. I was worried I'd struggle with Ozzy but I took piriton for a week and am fine with him. It has totally receded. He snuggles my face, sleeps on my bed, and nothing.
So there is hope.

Symptoms barely managed by current strategies (petAl + HEPA + antiH + steroid spray) :(

My son is allergicv to cats but he loves them so much that he has two regardless. He just takes an antihistamine everyday and keeps them out of the bedroom and he is ok.

Hi, I was allergic to cats. Really bad. Stayed at my now BIL' house once and the symptoms kept me up all night, didn't sleep a wink it was hell.

Got a cat 3 years ago, had allergies, within a few months allergies had gone.
Now I only get a bit of an itch if she scratches me, but even then it's not something that stops me playing with her as it's no bother.

Maybe trying a few weeks with a cat and interacting regularly. Build up some kind of resistance to whatever you're allergic to.
