Wet. She seems to have gone off Lilys. In despair last night i gave her an M and S sachet and the poor thing has had the runs all night. Iv given her encore plain chicken and rice which agrees with her but its not a complete food. I wonder why they dont have any of that range complete its so expensive but i cant see anything else grain free. Does anyone know anything about Sainsburys finest its 50% chicken and looks quite bland.

Can I ask what is the issue with food with grains in it? I have noticed some brands with my rescue cat the runs particularly felix.

Some cats' guts won't tolerate food with grains. Like people a bit. That's all. Smile

Fetch sell arden grange dry, supplement with tinned waitrose sardines in spring water.

Otherwise pets at home purely wet food is grain free

My cat had IBD so no grain plus I'd never feed supermarket brands as full of sugar and cereal (plus he refused to eat it anyway, and I don't blame him!)

Bulk buy halal chicken legs from tesco and boil up, or cheapo frozen white fish, both options are cheaper per kilo than sachets!

Also ocado sell encore and vets kitchen dry, both grain and crap free

Is Harringtons any good or is it just the packaging that is?

Does Aldi not have added sugars though?

witwootoodleoo · 23/02/2017 08:26

For grain-free wet I buy Thrive tins in bulk from Zooplus

isseywithcats · 23/02/2017 16:04

yes aldi has added sugar but its grain free that Op wants Op select is the fish variety and vitacat is the meat in gravy varietys my cats love them both at aldi you dont have to look through ten million choices they do these two in the pouches and vitacat in the tins

dementedpixie · 23/02/2017 17:27

I just don't think a cat food requires extra sugar tbh. What's the meat content like in those ones as they sound very cheap to have decent quality meat in them?

isseywithcats · 23/02/2017 20:38

just looked 44 percent meat content dont forget we are talking aldi where everything is around 75% cost of asda

Harringtons is fine, mine enjoys it too. Down to 35p a pouch last time I went to morrisons. Ingredients are available online too
