He is a male 3 year old neutered cat. I have a 5 yo female cat who I am using for comparison, she does not have a bald belly. Hers is covered just like the rest of her. This is baldy in the photo. He also has nipples. Is he normal? Confused

The name doesn't sound familiar toddler but scar isn't similarly bonkers and seems entirely unaffected by his bare belly.

What's the issue with Bravecto?

TroysMammy · 05/02/2017 19:13

Is your female cat over grooming him?

OneWithTheForce · 05/02/2017 19:57

They don't actually groom each other. Is that odd? They play fight and will sit near each other on the sofa but they don't groom each other.

Not really but a suggestion. I had 2 brothers and Barnaby would groom Troy's head and the lazy bugger let him. It wasn't reciprocated.

I have two siblings, one has lovely think fur on his tummy and I couldn't see the skin even if I tried. His sister on the other hand has a few sparse short hairs and you can see all her tummy. Both are outdoors so nothing to do with litter.

However, if he has red scabs on his tummy, it could be a flea allergy or some sort of irritation.

By the way, if though their related, mine don't groom eachother - in fact I'd go as far to say that they hate eachother and that would cause a fight.

Could he have any Sphynx, Peterbald or Devon Rex in his ancestry? I have a Devon, and he's curly on the outside, baldy on the underbelly and neck, which is covered with a sort of peach fuzz.

Like PPs have said, keep an eye out for any areas that look inflamed/scabby.
