Cat V Tree

So my dilemma...

Three cats, 10, 6 and 1

Girl cats 12 and 1, never been bothered, even as kittens just looked at it and continued to play with anything else in sight. Only thing they cannot be trusted with is chicken.

Boy cat (middle one) has spent every other year obsessed, and I mean his mission in life was to attack that tree, sit in the tree, eat the tree. I've had to kick them out of the tree room/living room every year since he arrive and the reason I've only put it up today as I couldn't stand the entire month fighting with him.

This year no interest at all. Sniffed and walked away. I have not yet put posh baubles on it just the non breakable ones

Is he plotting? Has he become intelligent (he is a gorgeous cat but not clever I'm afraid)
Or has he generally lost interest

All three are curled up fast asleep and I don't want to move them really :) plus herding all three of them out will involve dreamies and hyper cats :)

He's a cat of course he's plotting. However I feel your pain. This was my cat earlier today...

The girl cats I could imagine plotting, without a doubt, him... gosh bless him he is so soppy and stoopid.

He's just not bright at all - but adorable :)

And that's a naughty cat but it does make me smile :)

Did you put the tree in a cold corner of the room this year? Grin

CraftyKittens · 10/12/2016 23:54

Lol

No same spot as normal...

OK. Then he's either plotting - waiting until your back is turned - or he's become bored. ('If you've seen one tree etc etc....' Grin) Has there been the slightest hint of a desultory paw-flick?

cozietoesie · 11/12/2016 00:14

PS - my inclination would be to the 'boredom' explanation. If he's.......not too bright (Sorry) then it might have taken him all this time to realise that trees don't actually do anything - and to clock that the other cats weren't interested in it. Wink

He has sniffed it...

I fear he may have been having me on all this time and is actually a cat genius and is plotting to take over the tree and the world :)
