Things your cats do to cheer you up

Had a delivery today in a Big Box. Little M must've hidden in it for at least an hour, then when I padded downstairs, his little E.T. head and baldy elongated neck popped out. How on earth did he manage to get in the box, then close all the panels behind himself? Confused Grin

Does anyone else have cats that do peculiar stuff to cheer up their slaves?

A little thank you chirp BUT only when she is bounding in from the rain. Not even a nod on the numerous other door openings for her to come and go every day.

Toddlerteaplease · 02/12/2016 00:21

Sitting on the back of the sofa using my hair as dental floss. They've only become vocal in the last couple of months. I love it. One of them give a little chirp. It's so cute!

Toddlerteaplease · 02/12/2016 08:23

Actually. Just by then existing and being mine is the best thing in the world. I got so lucky with them!

Araminta99 · 02/12/2016 12:11

Aww how lovely!

I've taught all my cats to beg on their hind legs for food. It's so cute! My youngest (1 year old) always licks the back of my hand to say thank you when I put her bowl in front of her. She just did it on her own and it's so heart warming. She also has a penchant for sitting in cardboard boxes.

My oldest brings her string downstairs in her mouth and asks to play fetch. Makes me smile every time. And my boy cat is superglued to mine and DH's lap all the time.

One of mine will hide beneath the duvet. I know he's there but I always ask him anyway and he gives me a little chirrup which makes me smile.

Another one, without warning, will jump onto me in the evening when I'm lying on the sofa and it's as if he hasn't seen me in weeks, he's so loving. He also nibbles fingers if you stop fussing.

DubiousCredentials · 02/12/2016 12:16

Mine has just done a huge stinky crap in her litter tray then effed off outside Angry but she is normally much nicer.

TheWayYouLookTonight · 02/12/2016 12:32

Mr T will stand up on his back legs and give me a high-five if I hold my hand up and he's hungry enough

He also chirrups a lot, especially to announce his presence when he first walks into a room. Never fails to make me smile Smile
Big grin: Grin

Newest member of the CatSlave family has taken to sitting behind us on the sofa atop the cushions and LICKING the back of DH's ear.

DH hates it. Cat loves it. I find it hilarious.

Cat doesn't do it any other 'slaves' in the family - DH must have a tasty back of ear!! Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 02/12/2016 12:40

Newcat, My mum and dad's cat does that to my dad. He also gets his glasses cleaned! He doesn't do it to anyone else. DF pretends he doesn't like it. But I know he loves being the chosen one. Grin

Mine does sit and paw for treats
Makes a little "oof" noise like an old man when he lands after jumping off something
Washes my face and nose constantly
Blinks at me 24/7
Wraps his paw around my finger and purrs

SweetChickadee · 02/12/2016 18:22

We have one that can't enter a room without chirruping. It's really cute

TheCakes · 04/12/2016 16:22

I bought Ozzy a little Christmas hat the other day. He likes to carry it round in his mouth.

Toddlerteaplease · 05/12/2016 09:15

Fatty fat has just started resting her chin on my head when we are in bed. It's adorable.

MycatsaPirate · 05/12/2016 09:43

Bella is our newest cat and spent three months in hiding but just recently has been sleeping on our bed. If dp is not in bed but I am, she gets under the covers and lies her head on the pillow next to me and just blinks at me repeatedly. She's just so lovely.

I also have a chirruping cat who is constantly looking for something to do and she just bounces around the house chirruping away and generally looking for something to destroy.

Bogburglar75 · 05/12/2016 13:27

Bogbastard is generally a ridiculously huge, fluffy ever present help in times of trouble. Especially when they involve DS who has ASD and is also Bogbastards chosen Very Special Human (I am just the food dispensing machine)

But the other day DS was hugging him and I realised that at the same time, BB was giving his hair a thorough wash.

'Mog forgot that Debbie was not a kitten'.
