Is my cat in love with a snow leopard or just lonely?

So our 17 year old cat never ever reacts to the TV. You could show her Dreamies/ Felix/ Sheba adverts all day and she'd never blink. This is her form for her entire life.

Until last week we watched Planet Earth II and when the snow leopard came on she was entranced, went and sat 2 inches from the TV for the entire segment, pawed the screen, went round the back to see if it was there. You could practically see the cartoon hearts emanating from her.

We thought it was hilarious - until we wondered if this is the first evidence we have of her being lonely? Her mother died in May this year and so our cat is on her own for the first time. She is quite clingy with me now but we thought this was old age / because I am most generous with the cat treats. Does anyone know how we could work out if she's lonely? I'd consider having another rescue cat but ours is fiercely territorial and the only time I saw ours with a strange cat (in the garden) the claws came out..... I wish we could just ask her!

How do you find the cat programmes on netflix?

B&W Cat has always loved Planet Earth, and David Attenborough's programmes in general. Not interested in any other TV. It's the natural movements and noises. As soon as the particular episode's first squeak happens she's awake and riveted.

Actually I just looked on Netflix and I was wrong - it's Amazon - and if you search 'video for cats' there seem to be an unhealthy amount!!!
