we should hopefully be getting this little boy. Meet Blue. A one year old moggy. He was picked up as a tiny stray and was nearly pts as a kitten because he has IBS. His lovely nature has saved him. He will need a special diet and steroids when it flares up but he's never had a home because of this. He is a lot smaller that those photos show. He weighs 2.2kg and is all skin and bone. We are hoping with a controlled diet like he is on already and a home with as little stress as possible, he will gain some weight.

Tootsie is going to spit feathers.... But look how fucking smug Dh is. It will be his cat you see. He and toots have never gelled properly

Any tips on introducing them?

You really should Grin

I'm lucky really. Dh is deadly allergic to cats. They trigger his asthma

But we've found certain long haired breeds don't affect him. But not all long hairs. Depends on the coat type.

Our current cat Tootsie doesn't trigger him.

When we was at the rescue, one long hair did, Blue didn't

What a gorgeous cat! He's so lucky to be coming to live with you. (Also agree that previous poster that your DH isn't too bad either!)

I'll make sure he doesn't see those messages

His head will swell too big and he will be unable to leave the room Grin

Grin at your Dh not being a cat person. I believe the first signs are going to rescues & cuddling cats.

Soubriquet · 03/12/2016 12:59

I think it's a pretty big sign really

Especially since he elbowed me out of the way to get a cuddle first Grin

Blue looks like he's plotting something in the second picture. Mind you I think most cats do.

I remember a poster months ago who just brought two cats/kittens home with her without even telling her DH. I admired that poster I think he came round to the cats eventually.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/12/2016 13:07

I see You've slipped down the pecking order already. Blue won't know what to do with a whole house to explore.

Soubriquet · 03/12/2016 13:12

He really won't. He's been in the cattery his whole life.
