Can I show you how far my little boy has come?

This poor little bugger was found in September by the side of the road clinging to his mother's dead body. He was skinny, starving and every bone in his body could be felt. He's now four months old and still a little bugger but in the best possible way and has brought so much light and happiness into my life (although my older girl cats may not agree Hmm )

He's gorgeous and the spitting image of the cat I had as a little girl. Smile

iloveeverykindofcat · 23/11/2016 14:50

This is my favourite kind of story

iloveeverykindofcat · 23/11/2016 14:52

My survivor girl has a strong obstinate personality too. She is the boss of me. I think it must be part of what helps them survive.

PerfumeAndCatsAndBooks · 23/11/2016 14:56

My previously abandoned cat is black and white too. Maybe they stand out more!

(Although when my colleague initially rang to tell me that a cat had been abandoned at some premises, I said "why are you ringing me, I'm not the fucking RSPCA?" A couple of years and lots of money later she is purring and shedding lots of white fur on my pink pyjama-ed lap as I type).

YouHadMeAtCake · 23/11/2016 14:57

Ooh that had made me cry! He is gorgeous. Thank you for saving him. Off to get a tissue.

PerfumeAndCatsAndBooks · 23/11/2016 14:57

So clearly I'm much better than the fucking RSPCA, who advised me to get her PTS as there was no other option...

TheCakes · 23/11/2016 15:12

I welled up reading his story. You must be so proud of him ❤

TheFlounder · 23/11/2016 15:21

Jellybean83 · 24/11/2016 10:10

Aww that nearly brought a tear to my eye, what a sad, sad start he had. So glad it has ended well and he has you, what a beautiful boy.

SapphireStrange · 25/11/2016 16:49

He's gorgeous and healthy-looking! What a lucky kitten he is.

KitKat1985 · 25/11/2016 16:52

That looks like a massive tail. Smile What a sweetheart.

Olinguito · 27/11/2016 12:38

My goodness, he's beautiful! What a sad start to his life, but he looks so contented and healthy now.

mosesgirl · 27/11/2016 12:42

So glad you found each other, he`s beautiful.

cushioncovers · 27/11/2016 13:57

What a stunning boy.

RubbishMantra · 27/11/2016 17:04

The before photo, he looks like he should be on a poster for a cat charity. I've never seen such a thin little kitten. I wonder how long he'd been there with his mum. Sad

But look at him now, all sleek and chunky! Smile He has beautiful markings and features.

Lanaorana1 · 27/11/2016 17:12

Dexter is delicious!! He must adore you - he looks so happy. What a beautiful story and how beautiful you both are.
