Thought they had a truce but it lasted only a day...Sherlock will no longer come in the house willingly. I have to haul him in on a night if I can find him and put Nobby outside. I hate doing it but Sherlock must come first.

I cant find Nobby's original owner despite extensive search so am looking for a new forever home. Have asked locally and noone wants him Sad. Dies anyone on here have any advice or suggestions? Am in NE England. Bit upset about this to be honest but our lovely ginger boy is so distressed

I recall that when The Lodger left, Seniorboy - after checking the place out within an inch of its life (and after the 'peeing display' Grin) - just seemed to sigh happily and settle down to life as sole cat again.

(The Lodger is happy as happy in his new home. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Nobby will be as well.)Smile

Bit of an update: DIL of Nobby's new owner has been in touch saying that her mil can't cope with him. He has scratched her several times and he is too heavy to lift etc etc. Sad . They don't want to keep him...HELP.

I think your going to have to get him back in his shed. Was he scratchy with you?

Nobby has the worst luck.

Oh, poor, poor Nobby. He looks such a sweet boy. Why is his new owner trying to lift him if he doesn't want to be? No wonder she got scratched. And poor you too. Whereabouts are you and what line of work are you looking for?

cozietoesie · 13/12/2016 16:59

No need to be sorry. Is his shed still an option?

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 13/12/2016 19:04

Poor Nobby. I am so cross about his new 'owners', he's not something they can just hand back because he's too heavy!

If it's an option I think he would be better in his insulated shed with people who actually care for him.

I hope things look up for you soon Flowers

cozietoesie · 13/12/2016 19:23

I have to admit that I was wondering about this 'too heavy to lift', myself. The Lodger is a big and muscled cat - but we didn't have to lift him. He just jumped - light as thistledown he was under his own steam.

Stupid woman. If I didn't have my Billy, who is another old set in his ways boy I'd have him. We had that when we had to rehome a huge evil minded black cat we had who was terrorising our Titus. Older lady took him. Told him he was the spawn of the devil a bad non cuddly boy. Two days later he was back because she wanted a sweet little lap cat, not a black sociopathic Panther. We did find him a home with a couple because he was the reincarnation of their own evil deceased cat.

Potentialmadcatlady · 13/12/2016 22:29

Oh poo....poor Nobby....why are they trying to lift a cat who doesn't want lifted? One of mine is never lifted because she hates it...I never approach her I always let her come to me ( she's a foster ex feral who has to be kept indoors because of health issues) ...she hides when visitors are in normally but if she doesn't I ALWAYS say to them not to touch her.....
I hope you can get Nobby back in his shed until a better home is found..at least with you he is loved and cared for even if it means he has to stay outside.
Sorry you have had a horrible day....goodbye to 2016 that's what I say...

timtam23 · 13/12/2016 22:59

Oh poor Nobby. Why on earth are they trying to lift him? No wonder he's scratching, he's not even going to be used to the new place yet.
Could you possibly take him back into the shed & see if you could foster him whilst getting him onto the waiting list for a rescue? Even if they don't have spaces now, they may be able to take him on later. Fingers crossed.
