Ping!

Little M has a new, beloved toy. One of those giant elastic bands, that you get bound around a lot of post. He has a plethora of toys, sourced from far and wide.

He brings it to me, I ping it, then he tosses it about for a bit before bringing it back for me to ping. I've woken up for the last week with it in the bed.

He doesn't chew it, so I have no fears about him ingesting it. He's just become incredibly attached to it. Then he pretends he can't find it, making mournful "Oooo" noises until I fetch it. Even though he knows exactly where his "Ping" is. Grin

Anyone else have a cat with favourite toys, that aren't actual toys?

Just for you Toddler, Little M's hands.

I think we could do with an Ollie RibbonFace.

Palm leaves. We have a really low tree and she pulls the leaves off it. It's like tug of war, as soon as it's off the tree she's not bothered.

HemanOrSheRa · 03/11/2016 18:44

Hehe! Little M is adorable! Am I right in recalling a similar but 'side on' pic that you posted Mantra? It looked like he was praying or had his head his head in his hands, and made me chuckle.

I cannot get over how gorgeous Ollie's eyes are hollin. Makes me coo every time!

hollinhurst84 · 03/11/2016 18:45

I took this one as well Grin
He's an absolute eejit

GinAndOnIt · 03/11/2016 19:00

Oh my goodness. Little M looks SO snuggly, it's making my heart melt a little bit.

It seems GinCat likes playing with the saucepan of chilli...

I need a Devon Rex, Ollie and Senior boy in my life!

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 03/11/2016 19:09

faerie likes those crispy bits of cellophane that seal lids to jars, we leave them on the table for her and then she scampers abut the house batting them and making them crinkle

my first cat loved a paper bag, he'd run across the room and dive headlong into it, and propel himself about the room running with his back legs while his front half was inside the bag...once he had worked a hole in the corner and could run through it, he wasn't interested.
He also retrieved, he liked crinkly envelopes best for that.

hollinhurst84 · 03/11/2016 19:10

I think Ollie would be ShockShockShock if her ever met little M!!! I can just imagine his face "what's this fluff ball? Hooman? HALP?"

HemanOrSheRa · 03/11/2016 19:29

Oh hollin! Those eyes! I reckon Ollie would think the same as my Goofer -'I am confused. Are you a tiny lambcat?' Madam Grumpy would squint and think 'I know what you are. You are a cat. A BOY CAT. AND I DON'T LIKE YOU. I am The Queen. Bow to me.'

RubbishMantra · 03/11/2016 20:13

"I no have ribbon face hooman" No, of course you don't, love. Grin

He sleeps in that position a lot Toddler. He looks like the seeker in a game of hide and seek, counting to 100.

He's such a friendly little bod, and wants to make friends with anyone and anything. Including the still warm mouse he'd scared to death with his overtures. Oh, and the frog he brought in. I was only alerted to it's presence when I saw Little M following something down the stairs, and patting it. My god, the screams! I didn't know frogs could do that. He tends to put gifts on my bed. Wouldn't have fancied getting into bed with that. Would've kept me up all night with its' screaming!

You should see him when he sees a "dawg"
Runs to the patio door, pulls the blind to one side then practically breaks his neck watching it with a face of ShockShockShock until it's safely gone away
He's like some curtain twitcher

RubbishMantra · 03/11/2016 20:30

Oops, sorry Heman, got you mixed up with Toddler! Blush LM's probably in that position now, praying for a less inept human! Grin

If only we could organise play dates for our weird and wonderful felines. Little M would LOVE it. Imperious MCat, not so much.

GinAndOnIt · 03/11/2016 20:36

Rubbish has he had a perm or is he a specific breed? Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 03/11/2016 21:11

Omg play dates. What brilliant but totally impractical idea!! You'd never get my toe out of the carrier! But I would love to meet everyone else's cats!

hollinhurst84 · 03/11/2016 21:13

Ollie would adore that. In fact forget bringing your cat, just come and fuss him and dangle ribbon for an hour Grin

RubbishMantra · 03/11/2016 21:31

Little M is a big fan of Bon Jovi and 80's rock music. He bugged me to perm his hair, and was delighted with the results. Grin

Not really! He's a Devon Rex. His breed is quite young, he was born to a farm cat, nearby to a Devon tin mine in the 50s, where there had been sightings of a ringletted feral tomcat who lived in the mine. It's speculated that radiation from the tin mines had caused this curly genetic mutation.

He's very sweet and trusting. And a bit mad. But in a good way. My little sunbeam.

Haha I just gave my cat the wrapper from a pukka night time tea and he's gone crackers rubbing himself on it.

Ping!
hollinhurst84 · 03/11/2016 21:38

I'm going to buy those tea just to see if he likes them Blush

RubbishMantra · 03/11/2016 21:40

Poor GinCat's going to suffer the 'ring-sting regret'.

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 03/11/2016 21:57

*...Little M wasn't born in the 50's, that would make him 60+! I meant to say that's when Devon Rexes came into being. Having a dunce day. Pfft.

OP posts:
FuzzyWizard · 03/11/2016 21:58

I'm so buying some night time tea tomorrow. Blush I googled it and pukka actually have videos of cats going wild for it.

RubbishMantra · 03/11/2016 22:08

Hollin, is Ollie a polydactyl (extra toes) cat?

I do love the way his bottom fangs appear at the sight of ribbon. Like an upside-down vampire.

OP posts:
Oldraver · 03/11/2016 22:18

I have a blind twitcher....he gets on the windowsill and pulls the blind slats down and sticks his head through..sometimes half his body or various legs

hollinhurst84 · 03/11/2016 22:24

I don't think he has extra toes. I will poke him tonight and see Grin
Fangs often appear when he's cross too Hmm
