Would you encourage Dh to bring this cat home?

My Dh works on an industrial state and he admitted he nearly brought a cat home yesterday

There are loads of feral cats around there.

This one is a young female and the same size as my 7 month old kitten. He reckons she's the mother of some kittens born there a couple of months ago.

She lets him stroke her (only him. No one else can get near her) before her skittishness kicks in and she runs away.

Considering she's already been a mum and has let Dh near her, if he can get her, would you say bring her here?

You and your DH are lovely Soubriquet. I can't believe the company will allow a pest control company to dispose of them but won't allow them to be trapped. Bastards.

Thank you. I just hope we succeed really. Would be a shame to try and not get them in time because he can't get close enough.

I can't even go with him and help. I'm not allowed on site and they don't leave the area apparently

Is he risking his job by catching them though? As much as I love animals and would want to help, I don't know if I would want to lose my job over it.

Soubriquet · 23/09/2016 10:15

No he isn't risking his job. As long as no cat enters the factory itself, they won't care if he walks off site with a cat

I couldn't sleep last night for thinking of this. If the problem is with non-workers coming onto the site, then perhaps your husband could borrow a trap from Cats Protection or similar. A manual trap would be better than an automatic if possible.

I'll see what I can do

Don't let it keep you up though. Honestly I know it's a sad situation but there's nothing you can do that could change that. No point torturing yourself

It's definitely worth speaking to CP. They lent my friend a trap when she was moving and could no longer look after 'her' stray. He wasn't feral and CP took him and rehomed him.

I've contacted the CPL. Let's see if they have any ideas
