Narrow litter box with hood required!

A new loo has been put in our toilet leaving us with very little space for Purr Majesty's litter box!

There's only two places it would fit either alongside the toilet or next to the sink.

Does anyone know where we can get either a very narrow (ideally no more than 30cm wide)? We've trawled the pet shops and have drawn blank after blank!

Any advice gratefully received!

Alas no. It is a narrow corridor like room (less than 1m wide) with the loo at one end and the door at the other. Not a useable corner in sight.

Ok, this is going to sound bit bizarre but stay with me.

There are litter trays available that are 30 cm wide but they don't have a hood. So how about you get one of those and make your own hood?

For example, you could get another litter tray the same size and superglue it to a sheet of bendable plastic (for the walls).

Other than that, maybe you could get one custom made via 3d printing.

Blimey custom making that's not a bad idea. We thought about custom making one. A stackable IKEA box with a hole cut in it for her to clamber in and out of might do the trick. Although sharing a loo with her whilst she deficated in upturned see through Tupperware takes some getting used to.

...Or following on from the Ikea box idea, how about a wooden box (with cutout doorway) without a bottom (IYSWIM) that stands over a litter tray?

That way you don't see her doing her business

Excellent idea to make one, a cardboard box could also be a great hood. Just make sure there is enough space for your cat to be able to turn round - I'd love slimmer ones but my fat cat would never manage

Or a plastic ikea box with sticky backed plastic stuck to it so you don't have to see her pooping and she has privacy. You could colour coordinate it with the room

If you look on pinterest there are loads of ideas for custom litter boxes. That's what I'd do.
