Kitten won't stop crying... Screaming really

As the title says really. Picked up my lovely 12 week old Russian Blue kitten on Sunday. He literally has not stopped yowling since. The only time he stops is if he's asleep or eating. I know he's probably missing his mum and litter mates but the sound is really starting to make me feel anxious (its having a similar effect on me as my newborns did when they were crying!) as it goes on for hours and hours. He's a lovely little thing but I feel sad that I can't help him settle in. He seems utterly bewildered and sad and is not helping my own depression/ anxiety. Starting to wonder if I've massively ballsed up getting him in the first place.

Oh, he's beautiful! He can come over and tell me all the things anytime!

We have a tabby and white mog who's a bosser around of everybody talker. She's a dainty, petite little thing but has an absurdly loud, high-pitched miaow, which she deploys at every opportunity. 'I want to go out! I want food! I want headrubs! I want the tap turned on! I want the door left open so I don't have to commit to being in or out! I DEMAND THAT YOU SIT DOWN AND PROVIDE LAP NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!'

I will defo cuddle an interact with him as much as he wants. His is at home with my husband today who is working at home and being a good boy... Apart from the fact that DH thought he had lost him in the house, searched for him for 30 mins but didn't think to check his bed. The little bugger was curled up fast asleep in his bed the whole time!

The cat is being a good boy, not DH! Grin

One final gratuitous kitty pic...

I love him. He looks a handful in that last pic. Grin

He's waiting for you to return. Smile

RubbishMantra · 02/09/2016 14:59

Ah, he's lovely. I especially loved the stretched out legs picture. Looks v. relaxed.

I thought he looked Oriental in shape, and had quick search on their history, and RBs were heavily out-crossed with Siamese in the 1950's, to preserve the breed, post war. Si it would make sense they'd have similar characteristics - like bonding with a particular household member. Seems like you're that person.

He's probably just being a shouty toddler, and we all know how loud they can be.

I'll let Cozie take over from here, she is the aficionado of all Siamese behaviour! Grin

Ah his beautifulGrin!

Squeeeeeeeeee. He's gorgeous. Delighted to hear your little man is starting to settle.
Crying is only to be expected at first, I guess. Leaving your mummy and litter mates at 8-12 olds must be daunting

OrsonWellsHat · 03/09/2016 01:30

Omg, he's gorgeous Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/09/2016 19:54

That is one gorgeous cat. He certainly looks relaxed.

MissBattleaxe · 03/09/2016 20:00

He's very beautiful indeed. Lucky you!

Is his collar loose enough? Looks a bit tight?

flumpybear · 03/09/2016 20:06

Can you buy him something to snuggle with! Our young cat puddy paws at my DDs favourite duck toy checks for typo there! And tries to suckle it still like her mum!! She was fully weaned and eating all sorts so don't think we got her too early, just think it's her!

OhForFrigSake · 04/09/2016 13:25

The pink collar was one that the breeder put on him. It's been replaced by a roomier blue one :)
