Starting to fear the worst, he's never been away this long. I don't know what to do. I've called the local
Vets and the microchipping company. Putting posters up and doing door to doors tomorrow. This cat has been my life for nearly 4 years, gotten me through some terrible times, I really don't know what to do with myself :/

And have you registered and looked on Animal Search website and National Pet Register? That way if your cat is found, someone could list him and then you're emailed?

I had one go missing for a month, put up posters and got call one morning - he was two streets away.

Different cat of mine went missing last night.

I hope we both get our beloveds back

I'm keeping everything crossed for you op. One of mine went walkabout for a week, they're buggers for this, naughty puss.

You poor thing. It could happen to any of us.

Botanicbaby · 30/08/2016 18:33

really sorry to hear that Sad

have heard people say their cats have come after a few weeks, months even so please don't give up hope. it is the worst feeling in the world though, i can understand how much you're missing him OP.

fatbottomgirl67 · 30/08/2016 21:37

Try not to worry- easier said than done I know. Our boy disappeared this time last year for 2 weeks then just casually strolled back in. In my head he had met a horrible end but cats do this! He still wanders off and 26 days is his latest record. Hate him being away but other than keeping him in there's nothing I can do. Try not to stress as no news is good news and he's probably just gone wandering in the last of the summer weather

Our cat is missing too. My DD is just so sad about it (he is her baby), and he has now been gone for over 2 weeks. I have put up posters, leafleted over a hundred houses and asked shelters/vets/council/Veolia but no one has seen him.

He is a very visible cat - he sits on our wall and says hello to everyone so if he was in our area and not locked in I think I would see him.

I really hate this, particularly seeing my DD so upset.
I hope your cat comes back soon OP. You do hear a lot of stories about them just wandering home after weeks on the lam.
