Cat bathing... Help!

What's the best way to bath a kitten? Needs to be bathed to get rid of horrible jumpy flea bastards and he's quite cat-smelly too :( I don't want to traumatise him or him attack us more than's neccessary but I know he's going to hate us for an hour or two... I've bought him a nice big box of toys for after to cheer him up a bit 😁

Spray bomb the house.

Ah orange that might have been what I saw... I'll have a look on Amazon, hopefully should only have to do the house once or twice to make sure they're all dead and hope to god he never gets them again :(

Off the shelf in pet shops/supermarkets = bad news. And the spot-on treatments I've always used are colourless. I've heard Bob Martin described as green. Ask stepmum what flea treatment was used on him.

And like Fluffy says, flea him every 3-4 weeks, with vet approved treatments. Not sure how often to worm a house cat - both of mine are free rangers. Your vet will be able to advise you on this.
Drontal, Milbemax for worms - if he's a pill refuser ask for spot on Profender wormer from your vet. They are experts on the correct dose to be given for the correct weight.

I think orange has given you some very good advice re. monthly deal on flea-ing, worming, vaccinations and routine check-overs from your vet.

And bear in mind, fleas can kill kittens - such a tiny creature only has so much blood in it's little body. Fleas also transmit worms to the cat/kitten, therefore taking more nutrients from the body.

! was recommended that you just need to flea & worm once a year for completely indoor cats, though once mine are more socialised I'll probably do them every 6 months.

rubbish he was literally crawling with them, and he looked sticky and generally really unhappy too, plus when I wiped him with baby wipes it came off red that's one reason we took him to the vets ... The vet said he'd be anaemic if we didn't sort it pretty much instantly hence him giving us the flea shampoo, as he said he'd have expected the same number of fleas from a stray :( and he said there's no point worming til fleas are gone because they give cats worms back and I think he said that worming 2 monthly if he was going in the garden was best but we'll talk about what to use and stuff on Tuesday when we go back :)
