Never had one before but I've fought it for too long. She's the last one left. I live in a flat but she can go out the back way when it's time. What do I need to buy? What's her name? We like Rebel, Saffy or Cynthia Rose huge prince fan

I so desperately want another cat but dp says no. Three, apparently, are enough. Hmm

Ours have a mixture of wet food, vary it so they don't get bored. But I buy Purina 1 dry food and they all love it and seem to be very healthy.

Has anyone mentioned cat litter yet? www.amazon.co.uk/Cats-Best-%C3%96ko-Plus-Litter/dp/B0082AJ1C8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468001478&sr=8-1&keywords=world+best+cat+litter+oko

this stuff is amazing. Really light, clumps and holds odour. Definitely get a tray with a dome because they kick it everywhere plus the smell can be a bit much when they've just done a poo.

Flea treatment monthly (once she's allowed outside) and worming ditto.

Make sure you have toys and scratch posts for her and try to not leave her too long at first. She's tiny and will be missing her mum and litter mates so to be left for 6 hours at a time may be a bit much for now.

And definitely buy her a bed. She will then sleep and play in the box it came in and ignore the bed completely.

With regard to OP, worm monthly until 6 months. After that about every 3 months - this can depend if they go outside or are prolific hunters.

Not sure about fleaing kits as young as yours, but mine came to me at 13 weeks, so a flea treatment is given every 3-4 weeks.

The best person to advise you on these matters is your vet, when you bring her in for a health check.

Well she's home. I managed to coax her out of the travel box and she's now behind the ironing board and clothes stands against the wall I've tried to more her but she went straight back. I hope she doesn't start weeing there. Do I just let her be? I don't think they can collapse on her!

Leave her food, water & litter tray near by (obv not together because no one wants to eat near the loo) and let her be.

It's a big change for a little kitten. You could sit nearby reading so she can see you.

Yes she's fast asleep. The bed is coming tomorrow but she seems to have found her spot and isn't moving. Bless her she threw herself at the oven I wonder if she thought her reflection was her sibling?

Aww, bless. It always takes them a while to figure out mirrors and reflective things - usually orifices good entertainment though!
Sounds like she's doing pretty well so far. It's normal for her to be a little timid at first, just give her time and let her get used to you.

I'm kind of jealous - I miss this stage and your kitten is especially cute! But with 5 already there's no way we're getting any more.

Best of luck!

She's come out of herself and started playing today. She's not bothered about the dry food is it ok to mix it with the wet?
