So we've had our kitten a week and a bit. He's settled all is well etc etc.

So who is BU, my gf or me?

I wash up every day, I line it all up in the work top, glasses, dinner plates, small plates, bowls, cups/mugs, Kittens bowl, cutlery, cooking implements and finishing with greasy stuff.

My gf was quite taken aback that I wash the kittens bowls with our stuff,
"It's had cat food on it"
My stance is it doesn't matter as cat food is very little difference than washing one of our plates that's had meat and gravy on.

So, AiBU to wash up kittens bowls with everything else?

All the animals are mine.

DP only cleans their bowls when I'm away. When I do it I use the sink in the bathroom rather than the kitchen sink. I also have one sponge for the cat's bowls and another for the guineas' and rabbits' (carnivores vs herbivores).

When DP cleans the cat's bowls he'll put them in the kitchen sink with our stuff, and use the same sponge for all. I'm pretty sure he's done the same with the guinea's bowls too (it's been a while since he would have had to clean bowls for the rabbits). I find it slightly unsettling, especially the fact that the guineas' bowls tend to have poo in or on them (I suspect he leaves them til last) but if he's happy (bearing in mind they're my pets not his) then I'm not too bothered.

I do, occassionally, use one of our bowls / cutlery for the cat and will just throw that into the sink with our stuff. My mother would have a fit if she realised, though!

Harry does have his own cutlery but if there's not a spare fork I'll use one of ours. His food is better quality than some of the stuff we eat so I don't have a problem with it!
