lol

Aren't they supposed to be quite low allergenic? Something to do with lack of guard hairs and dander?

I suppose they could be seen as marmite cats, but I think they are lovely. I love their giant bat ears.

Stare.. Mabel is on the short list near the top...
Beryl... Yes but no ..still have dander etc.. I'm allergic to everything- I just take strong tablets and refuse to let it stop me having pets...want a Devon for their personality more than their hyper allergenic possibilities..
So long to wait.. Massive wish list on Amazon- none of which can be afforded or needed!!

:)

Thank you Beryl. Why was your DH so opposed to a Devon? Is it because they look a little unusual? And have no social graces or "cat etiquette"? Mine just got into bed after I'd done a Big Fart, and is now snuggled up to my bum. Confused

Burmese are beautiful cats too, with similar sweet natures. I think when Devons were discovered, they were out-crossed with Burmese.

He also enjoys drinking from the toilet.

Something to look forward to... Plenty of farts in this house..

RubbishMantra DH may have mentioned the word 'freak' when he was setting out his objections. It was very cruel and unfair.

RubbishMantra · 01/07/2016 13:16

It's really only show standard Devons that look a little freakish. Mine wouldn't be show standard because his ears are set too high on the head, and don't flare out at the base enough, And he's got a gigantic floofy tail, that looks like he nicked it off a Persian.

He did look funny after his kitten moult though. Curly legs (like legwarmers) and the rest of his body just covered in peach fuzz, apart from a mohican of curls down his back.

Missy, Magic ...we had a guide dog pup named that!, Margo or maybe Minnie or MarcellaDetroit.
