Does anyone have a kind of "cat enclosure" where their cats go?

I've just bought a house - it's beautiful but on a busy road. I want my cats to have access to the back garden and am considering investing in a kind of enclosure in the garden so they can go out but without the stress of them potentially being run over and killed, which sadly happened to one of them last year.
Just wondering if anyone has made one of these? Yes I know it's a bit ridiculous!

We do, we have aviary panels attached to a shed. It is ideal cats can go out enjoy the nice weather(if we ever get any). They have logs in there, scratching posts and are brought into the house every evening, when all doors and windows are shut.

You can get companies in to cat proof your whole garden so they can go out but not get on the road.

Really? Wow I'm going to Google now! Thanks for understanding - I just think it's a great investment because the cats will get to be outside but I won't have that awful 4am feeling when they haven't come home.... it was awful when Millie got killed last year so desperately want to stop that happening again with the others.

We are looking at buying an enclosure - found a great website but they don't operate this far north 😓 was also looking at the bendy fence solution....

Justify the cost. Loss is incalculable. And consider future saved vet fees. (Watch a supervet episode then see how expensive it seems! )

We're not on a main road and we're considering it because the M25 cat killer has killed in our area. I also don't like Harry going near the road as some idiots do fly past even though the road doesn't actually lead anywhere! DH is going to be doing ours so it will be a lot cheaper than getting in a company.

I have protect a pet - they have been great. Worth the money for me - much cheaper if you can install yourself but I wanted the added certainty of experienced fitters. whereabouts up north are you?
