I am being ridiculous, but HURRY UP!

Having lost BastardCat on Tuesday, we really want to adopt as soon as possible. We had already been thinking about getting another cat to keep BastardCat company so have decided to go for two. We are experienced owners with lots of love to give and empty laps that need a cat on them.

Have enquired with two rescues for specific cats and heard nothing back yet. One was only an hour ago but come on....

I know I am being ridiculous. But I am at home today and I miss BastardCat like mad. DS1 comes home from a school trip today and we will have to tell him which I am dreading. I want a cat!

They are lovely, it's hard to be without a cat when your used to them. How long had they been in a rescue?.

gingerboy1912 · 07/05/2016 23:11

They are beautiful

RoosterCogburn · 07/05/2016 23:12

Gorgeous picture (I like the fact that he is obviously appreciating your lovely ripple blanket as well!)

ExitPursuedByABear · 07/05/2016 23:17

Yay. Ginger toms. Love em.

VenusRising · 07/05/2016 23:24

Oh they are both lovely!

Also, have you a pattern / linky for the ripple blanket?

LanaorAna1 · 07/05/2016 23:29

Deeply, deeply beautiful - what a pair of adorables.

I hope you have a brilliant time with your new family members - such a memorable day.

Ginger toms are the dog's.

The ripple blanket is the Attic 24 one made with random colours.

Big lad (who is older and shyer) came for a cuddle this morning. Have found out their back story and it is awful. Poor kits.

Ah, that's sad. But good they have you now though. Our rescue boy was a stray before he came to the shelter so we don't know his back story, but from the way he still jumps every time a foot moves too fast nearby and the way he reacts to loud noises, we think he might have been used to kicks and anger. Sad it's our mission to teach him that humans in this house only show him love and affection.

We got our Mia from cats protection 7 years ago. She had been a young mum and lived rough but she is the sweetest affection-loving little cat. When we first got her she was obsessed with food. She couldn't be in the same room as it - even things like thai curry had her climbing all over you. She'd obviously starved and it makes me cry to think about it. However now with us she is chilled out and doesn't scoff all her dinner in two seconds. Very rewarding.

Thanks youre

Give them a hug from me. Poor things. I just can't understand how people are cruel to little creatures. Sad

I'm sure they'll have you wrapped around their little paws in no time. Lucky them!

Rooster, that's hilarious. Reminds me of the time when I bumped into somebody in our circle of friends, buying tomatoes for his mum in the supermarket.. He had large red ears, and we all called him "Gammon". It was during my pot-smoking years, and somehow the words, "So, your nickname is Gammon because your ears look like gammon steaks?" tumbled out of my mouth. No, Gammon's my surname, he said.

He didn't really speak to me after that.

anoldiebutagoody · 11/05/2016 11:46

See they are both gorgeous - there's something special about ginger cats they always seem to have a cheeky personality Smile

gingerboy1912 · 11/05/2016 12:51

Rubbish GrinGrin

RoosterCogburn · 12/05/2016 23:08

Rubbish I'm glad its not just me that does that kind of thing.
