4 year old boy Smile

What would you name this cat?
OP posts:
justabigdisco · 26/04/2016 19:20

I've got a cat called Dennis!

originalmavis · 26/04/2016 19:22

But if he is 4 hasn't he already got a name? Won't he get confused (not that cats ever come when called anyway).

Out cats always had people names.

NameChange30 · 26/04/2016 19:26

Humphrey?
Earl?
Marlon?
Walter?
Albert? (Albie, Bert or Bertie for short)

CandyFlossBrain · 26/04/2016 19:54

I think it can be a good thing for an adopted cat to have a new name. It signifies a new start. I foster and there seems to be roughly a 50/50 split between people who keep the cats name and those who pick a new one. I've even renamed cats I was fostering, to make them a bit more adoptable.

SpidersFromMars · 26/04/2016 19:56

My first thought was "Gerroff" - which is what I say to mine when she's on the kitchen worksurfaces! ...So, Geoff?

CatThiefKeith · 26/04/2016 19:59

I agree with Alb1 Keith is a lively name for a cat!

whistles innocently

CatThiefKeith · 26/04/2016 19:59

Lovely, not bloody lively ffs

Oldraver · 26/04/2016 20:12

Reggie was number one choice for me but I was outvoted

We ended up with an Ernie, with a whole heap of suggestions along the way

It took longer to name him than No2 son Grin

NameChange30 · 26/04/2016 20:21

Ernie is a cool name for a cat Smile

Please come back, OP, to tell us your favourite suggestions and make sure at least one of mine is on the list.

6cats3gingerkittens · 26/04/2016 20:30

Patches.

BirthdayBetty · 26/04/2016 20:53

Definitely Keith Grin

FruitOwl · 26/04/2016 20:56

Meowy McMeowface?

NameChange30 · 26/04/2016 20:58

Surely it would be
Catty McCatFace
or
Kitty McKitFace

emwithme · 26/04/2016 23:02

I don't know why I immediately thought of Milo I have never heard of a cat called Milo. But it's EPIC. (Disclaimer: My cats are called Erwin and Eugenie after Erwin Schrodinger and Eugene Wigner so I am a bit odd)

He's not a Boris. Boris is a giant house panther who lives in Seattle with his floofy marshmallow of a brother, Rio, and my friend Andrea.

rissabirnie · 27/04/2016 16:15

I had a black and white cat called Boris once. But I think he looks like a Digby.

MargotLovedTom · 27/04/2016 16:23

Saying as your user name is Marilyn Monroe related, what about Arthur - as in Miller, one of her husbands? Or possibly Joe DiMaggio, JFK or Kennedy Wink.

MargotLovedTom · 27/04/2016 16:24

Oh I see someone else thought Arthur as well.

MargotLovedTom · 27/04/2016 16:28

EmWithMe our ndn's cat is called Milo, except for about three years when I thought it was called Marlon. Both cool names for a cat I reckon.
