They are actually called something else.

It's happened with all my cats apart from my first - the late, great Bertie.

So my current cats 'real' names are: William, ( extrovert black boy ) Dora, ( dainty princess blacky browny half Burmese) Susie, ( feisty disabled tor tie and white) and Oliver Rabbit.( gentle elderly tabby failed foster cat.

Why does this happen? What are your cats' other names?Grin

The cat I owned as a teenager arrived as a four week old black kitten. Officially named Asterix but he liked to lie on the rug looking like a tiny black ink blot - whereupon everyone greeted him as 'hello Blot'.

Blot stuck. As he got bigger and the psychopathic tendencies emerged it acquired an extra T and we pretended he was called after Blott on the Landscape.
