Can't take a pic yet as he's hiding behind the washing basket!

*sonsy - and neither can they type. Grin

He's very young to be leaving his mum... I used to breed them and they left us at 12 to 14 weeks... He's just lovely by the way. I'm curled up with my ancient cream point birman right now.

cozietoesie · 08/01/2016 22:05

Out of interest, did you get to meet his mum?

Pantone363 · 08/01/2016 22:46

Yes his mum is my FIL's cat. Thats the only reason we took her instead of a rescue. I wouldn't have bought one from someone outside of the family, we were waiting for her to have a litter but FIL was unsure if he was going to breed her or not.

So gorgeous

I'm so envious

cozietoesie · 08/01/2016 22:57

That's good. What sort of cat is she - a good mom for example?

Pantone363 · 08/01/2016 23:07

Ah she was brilliant but lost interest towards the end. She's still got two girls with her so hopefully not mourning her loss too much.

FIL says she is fine and was out mouse hunting all morning. This was her second and last litter so i'm glad we got the boy. He had so much interest over christmas but wasn't happy with selling them as potential presents so still got the two girls (although someone came today to visit them, I think they might be going together to their new home)

He is utterly full of himself at the moment. Chasing a straw around the room and rolling around batting it in his paws.

Hoping he's going to be a good mouser like his mum (farm house)

They do lose interest - in fact they can be downright mean to them at times. Nature in operation/breaking the bonds and all that.

I still think he's young - I've not had a Siamese in recent years at under 12 weeks. Sooner you can get him in bed with you at night the better, I reckon - security, warmth, all those good things.

Good luck. Smile

cozietoesie · 08/01/2016 23:13

Ah - that sounds better.Smile

Gorgeous!!

Our lovely 14 month old was run over a few months ago. I still have a little weep now and again-she was beautiful and we were all heartbroken. We may get another at some point but not sure I could cope if another was run over.

Enjoy your new kittySmile

Pantone363 · 08/01/2016 23:34

AH energy thats difficult. After moggie was shot I swore I wouldn't get another. We still live in the same house and I know which fucker it was that shot her Angry

Maybe in a few more years?

Dear Goodness.

Pantone363 · 09/01/2016 00:06

Yes shot with an air gun. The crazy fucker down the road who owns an aviary and has been known to shoot cats before. 2 pellets in her back leg, had to have her PTS.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/01/2016 07:31

They should ban air guns unless you're a pest control company. Too weak to be useful for hunting and easily tweaked to be much more powerful.

our local farmer wouldn't let anyone shoot pigeons on his land with air rifles, he said it was too weak for a quick death.

I hated dhs.
