JML are tempting me with that arch brush thing but not sure Sparklingcat would be thrilled.

What to get the cat that doesn't need anything? Grin

Ours are getting a new cat tree (off amazon on black Friday so it was under £20 - not as nice as the £100 one in pets at home though)

Ours have form for ignoring expensive purchases, so we'll see how it goes.

I've seen the JML arch in Wilkos and I did wonder whether RaptorCat#2 would love it or ignore it. (RaptorCat#1 would probably ignore it or pee on it depending on his mood Hmm )

Of course the best bit is chucking bits of turkey out the back door so the cats leg it down the garden (so we can shut the door and eat with two cats glaring at us through the patio doors in peace) Xmas Grin

Sparklingcat is very odd. She will not eat anything but Felix as Good as it Looks. She won't touch any human food including fish and meat (cooked or raw) and does not understand treats.
Dreamies are acceptable but only if put in the dried food bowl and left.

I've got DramaCat1 a heated pad to go in his bed as he's old & arthritic. I decided to give it to him as an early present, but so far he's refused to go in his bed with it in there Confused.

Dreamies are off the Christmas list, as last year DramaCat2 ate far too many and threw up.

This year they'll be getting some catnip and some mouse toys with feathery tails. DramaCat2 loves feathers.

Palomb · 14/12/2015 21:34

Fuck all, they're cats.

cece · 14/12/2015 21:37

Nothing. It's a cat.

Sparklingbrook · 14/12/2015 21:38

Poor Palombcat and cececat Sad

Turkey and sausage meaty sticks
turkey mousse for dinner
and obviously he has his advent calendar

He doesn't 'get" catnip

whitelisbon · 14/12/2015 21:51

If mine tries to trip me on the stairs again, some weighted boots and a trip to the pond. Angry

In reality, they're getting a big bag of pom-poms, in all colours and sizes, for me to have to hoover round for the next 6 months, some Dreamies, and possibly some beef for Christmas dinner.

SecretLocation · 14/12/2015 21:51

SecretKitten will have his first ever Dreamies plus a Kong Kickeroo, a new litter tray and some more jingly balls (as all the others are lost somewhere under the furniture)

sweetkitty · 14/12/2015 21:58

My cat is almost 16 and discovered Dreamies about 3 months ago he's like a Dreamies addict now, as he's old he can eat as many as he likes.

Thecatknowsshesboss · 14/12/2015 21:59

Ours thinks I bought her a heated throw which she loves but which is actually mine (oh whom am I kidding its DD and the cats now). Some turkey dreamies and a can of tuna. She doesn't respond to catnip and hates toys - apart from tree decorations obviously.

didireallysaythat · 14/12/2015 22:01

I've arranged for someone to come in and feed him... Should I do more ? Wink

Sparklingbrook · 14/12/2015 22:36

Sad did definitely.

SoupDragon · 14/12/2015 22:41

FatCat is, as you might guess, fat so treats are banned.
He already has a king sized bed with white bedding Hmm
The dog steals his mice and hides them in his own bed
He looked at me with utter disdain when I tried to entertain him with a laser pointer.

So no, he won't be getting a gift. He won't care.

badhairallthetime · 15/12/2015 20:53

Badhair cat will be getting a big bag of pistachio nuts. Not to eat of course but she goes totally crazy chasing them around the house. You only have to pick one up and shake it and she gets all excited! She plays fetch with it too and will bring it back to you in her mouth and drop it at your feet to throw again. For months after last Christmas we were finding them everywhere... Inside shoes and boots, shopping bags, even in the boot of the car!

MrsBertMacklin · 15/12/2015 22:25

I have upgraded BertCat's CatIt race track with these and I left a spare ball out for her to chase freestyle. Something that moves of its' own accord and it lights up - she has gone nuts for it.

Going to take it away overnight though, the noise of it rattling across the kitchen floor last night was trying after the third time it woke me.
