I need help with my new kitten

We got a kitten on Friday (first ever kitten after always having older rescue cats) and I really need some advice please.
First issue is she has fleas - we have been using a flea comb since discovering them Saturday morning and have got about 10 live ones and lots of dirt off her. We have washed all blankets and the clothes we were wearing when we held her. She is seeing the vet on Monday is there anything else I should be doing re the fleas?
Second issue is she has not yet used the litter tray she has weed once behind a chair and once behind the sofa and pooed on the blanket she was sitting on the sofa on. She knows where the litter tray is we have put her in it when she wakes and after eating and we put the poo she did in it as well to show her where it goes. The litter tray is in the corner of the living room so not too far away. Can we do anything else to help her learn to use the tray?
Third issue is our resident 5 year old rescue cat she is neutered and has lived with a dog before it died so not used to being an only pet. She hisses at the kitten if the kitten goes closer than say a meter to the cat. She hisses then leaves so has not tried to attack the kitten. Will she come round do you think? (I don't expect them to be friends but would like the hissing to stop)
Thanks for any help I will try and add a pic.

I don't know about fleas on such a young kitten but you can encourage her to use the tray by wiping her bottom with a warm wet piece of cotton wool and putting it in the tray. My friend trained her cats this way.

The hissing is normal. If there's no direct aggression I wouldn't worry - they'll probably sort themselves out over the coming weeks. They may not be bosom buddies but neutered cats rarely carry on a full-scale war with each other.

Great thanks, will try the cotton wool.

You can get flea spots specifically for kittens - I'd ask the vet.

Also, can you move the litter tray to a hidden spot behind the chair or sofa?
