It starts 10 minutes in. It's not a bad report on CHAT's work really. But hells bells I look ridiculous. So I thought the Litter Tray regulars might like a laugh at my expense.

The first shot of me is in the office shot when I'm just looking fed up. I had no idea the cameras were on then and I was getting bored as the crew kept us hanging around - telling us they would need us in a minute yadda yadda.

The second shot I'm in is where I've just brought in the cat without a foot. I transfer the scanner from my left hand to my right, but then don't put my left arm down and for some inexplicable reason walk round with my left hand in this affected looking position a la Larry Grayson.

At least they didn't broadcast the bit where I they interviewed me about the cat without the foot. For starters my voice sound weirdly alien and I became aware when speaking that I was standing at a strange angle, so really slowly straightened up. No wonder they didn't use it.

Suffice to say I don't think a future in TV awaits me Grin.

Yes they're from two difference batches of kitten we fostered for CHAT Lewisham. The second one had totally random fluffy colourpoint markings despite the fact that mum was jet black and brothers were black and white.

Genes are strange and complicated things - although it's possible that the kitten had a Dad, say, with Himalayan genes who nipped in smartly while Mum was out partying. (You can have more than one father to a litter.)

They're just gorgeous. Did you have trouble giving them back? Smile

I meant to ask, TCN - how did the parking campaign at CHAT get on?

thecatneuterer · 18/10/2015 14:02

Cozie - the parking campaign was largely ignored by the Council. They have given us an extra 15 or so spaces on a one hour limit (which often isn't nearly long enough). But considering they have taken away around 120 spaces that barely scratches the surface.

However we are now in an even more serious battle with the Council (which I can't go into detail about for legal reasons) which may seriously restrict our ability to do rescue and feral work. It really feels as though they have it in for us.

Be sure to bring it here, TCN, if there's anything anyone on the board might be able to do. (And I imagine we have a fair range of talents gathered here.)

I doubt we're forgetting the time of the MN kittens and CHAT saving the day! (Thread on Classics, I think, if anyone would like to read it or link it.)

thecatneuterer · 18/10/2015 17:36

Cozie we are already getting our battle lines drawn up and that's all I can say at the moment.

I don't think the 'kittens in the bin' thread got into Classics. Neither did the 'kittens about to be squashed by industrial machinery' one. I suppose that once the cliffhanger element of it has been removed it doesn't make for that much of an interesting read.

But here is the photo of the rescued Catford bin mother and kittens for old times' sake

That's a shame. (That it never made it to Classics.)

Just say the word if you need any extra battle planning though.

Corygal · 21/10/2015 23:17

Yes, TCN, of course we'll pull the stops out. You never know what powers lurk behind the cat-cuddling messages.
