Cat weeing on worktop?

Morning

We have two 2 year old cats, a brother and sister from the same litter. The female is very timid and has an ongoing feud with next doors cat (nicknamed by us 'The Jingle Jangle Cat' due to its irritating bell). Most days JJ cat chases her through our cat flap or our cat spies her out of the window and puffs her fur up and growls. They truly hate eachother! Over the past week we've noticed twice in the morning that there's been a wet patch of wee on the kitchen worktop (cats are locked in kitchen overnight and have a cat flap). Trying to work out why she's messing indoors? Could it be that she sees the other cat through the cat flap and is so scared she wets herself? Is there any way to stop this keep happening? I wondered if a pheromone diffuser would help?

We're convinced it's her rather than her brother and he's a bolshy tomcat that hunts all night whereas she's an indoor loving lap cat.

Thanks for any advice

Are they both neutered? And what are your current litter tray arrangements?

Oh - and is the cat flap a chip one so that the Jingle Jangle cat can't get into the actual house?

(Sorry for all the questions.)

I would buy an oral syringe, draw the wee up and take it to a vet for a urine test. I wish I'd done that for my cat.

once you've ruled out cystitis you can try extra trays etc.

Both neutered. Haven't had a tray since they started going outside a year ago.
Just a bog standard flap not chip.

So you need trays straightaway really.

Sorry if I'm being thick. But why do I need trays when they both 'toilet' outside? My thoughts were that it's fear/anxiety that's causing her to wee indoors so how can I help her with that?

Because the bully cat is making her nervous so she stays in and needs a safe place to wee.

Imagine you have an outside loo, no indoor one, but sometimes one of your neighbours attacks you as you go out to it. It's not every time the neighbour attacks you but the threat is there.

Even if the GP had you dosed up on Valium you'd still want to avoid going out at night.

You need a tray, for the reasons Fully says. You should also get a microchip cat flap to stop the other cat coming in.
