friend took in a cat, which had kittens. Mommy cat rejected the babies (hissing at them, biting them etc) so I've taken in the kits. Theyre 8 weeks old.

Its been a while since I've had a kitten (usually take in rescues) so what do I need to know?

What beautiful kittens Smile. Agree with Twerk - please get rid of the collars. If you really want to put collars on them (and I think the advice from Cats Protection and others is to avoid it) then you need to make sure that they're not likely to hurt your cat. Cats Protection advice on collars

I also agree with Twerk, take the collars off, having had a cat who got her leg stuck through a collar (briefly) I would never put a collar on a cat again. They can cause horrible injuries and no quick release or breakaway mechanism is completely reliable. Get them chipped when they are old enough to go out. They are beautiful, they don't need decoration.

I think op put them on for Id purposes but if one has balls then a quick tail lift will sort the goose from the gander.

When their older they'll look so different it'll be easy for you to tell them apart, our Persians all looked completely different to us but others swore they were identical.

My cat has a collar on as I have a habit of losing her despite her being a house cat. Its a quick release and she takes it off if she feels like it but I like the bell to hear her.

They are gorgeous though I want another one but judging by how the cat bullies the dog I don't think it would be wise!!
