How does your cat wake you up?

My girl didn't wake me up for her breakfast this morning. She just went out to play in the garden.

Anyway, normally she makes some very loud jumps followed by making pudding with her claws ever so slightly out so it makes a noise.

How about your cat? What does your furry alarm clock do?

I wake up to a cold damp nose pressed against mine and a blast of fishy breath.

I sleep on my side usually, and often wake up to find the cat snuggled in the gap between my knees and arms. She comes in after DH has got up - she doesn't go in the room at night - and is surprisingly well behaved unlike my previous cat who did wardrobe mountaineering. If she thinks I'm sleeping in too long the miaowing will begin. Sometimes she decides she wants to sit on my hair on the pillow, but less often since I cut it a bit shorter.

DH gets tapped on the face, then proper whacked. I get my chest jumped on. Or occasionally just a super gentle Eskimo kiss. Or the staring...

Mine today decided on the standing on my boobs approach with a follow up of making puddings on my bladder.

My cat is too clever, she's learned what I cabt ignore - scratching the carpet/wardrobe/side of the bed/ripping up any bits of paper or plastic bags left within her reach, basically anything destructive then runs away when caught, reappearing all innocently "oh, you're awake then? You could just feed me while you're up..." Usually around 5am these days. Im getting an automatic feeder!

My cat walks to the open bedroom door and yells until I throw a pair of socks at him. We repeat this every 5 mins until I worry that he'll wake the baby, then I get up. If particularly hungry he will sit on my pillow and yell into my face.
My other cat is perfect and let's me sleep.

yes and no.

she is kept downstairs with the door shut over night, and i also sleep with my door shut.

DH and the kids have to open my door and let her up once they're up as she just meows until she's allowed to come upstairs to me, and then she doesn't actually wake me, she just pads around the bed while purring, bunts me and then curls up with me and goes to sleep there with me.

Portia wakes me at 6.33 precisely every day..my alarm goes off at 6.35!
I sleep face down so she sits on my shoulderblades and then walks up to my head and slaps me a few times.. gently at first then, if I don't instantly roll over, with claws out!

Obie and Ophie are generally flopping around on the floor waiting for Portia to get me out of bed!

Portia has no concept of 'it's the weekend, sod off' so gets very annoyed if I refuse to get out of bed then! She purrs as she slaps me!

Mine starts off nice: sitting on my chest, purring, putting my face with her paws.

If that doesn't work, the patting gets harder.

If that doesn't work, she bites my nose.

And if THAT doesn't work (i.e. I hide under the duvet) she goes and gets up my youngest dd, knowing that by doing so I will have to be out of bed in 3 minutes.
