Oh no Chock! What's wrong with the little lad?

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/05/2015 17:50

Have you seen a vet?

chockbic · 01/05/2015 19:03

He's got a flare up of his virus. Been given a jab. See how he is doing in a week.

Thanks for asking x

Poor Jack. Worrying isn't it?.

chockbic · 01/05/2015 19:22

It sure is. He kept going to sneeze, waking from sleep. Not happy about that.

Healing vibes from Little Monsieur, MCat and me. Flowers

Is this the same virus he had when he first came to you?

chockbic · 01/05/2015 20:40

Nice of you Rubbish, you are a sweetie Star

He does look miserable, bless him. I've got upset as I hate seeing him sick.

OP posts:
chockbic · 01/05/2015 20:41

Sorry yes didn't answer, vet thinks same virus.

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 01/05/2015 20:50

Well, I sort of feel like I know him from your posts. Smile

He should be fine then, he fought it off as a small kitten, now he's a strapping adolescent. His immune system will be more equipped to fight it.

Doesn't stop the worry though.

Just a thought - couldn't be hayfever could it?

chockbic · 01/05/2015 20:54

True we've been through adolescence together on this board.

He's got a temperature and wheeze, so more likely a virus.

Was sneezing a fair bit yesterday, but more of a pre sneeze today.

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 01/05/2015 21:03

Speaking as a human, I find the pre-sneezes worse than actual full blown sneezes. Irritating and frustrating.

I'll bet Jack is strutting about on his ballet dancer legs tomorrow. Swiping at your nose. x

chockbic · 01/05/2015 21:08

I think you're right, he is annoyed, especially when he can't rest. Lots of swirly owl head action. Probably dizzy as much as anything Grin

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 02/05/2015 13:10

How's young Jack doing this morning Chock?

chockbic · 02/05/2015 14:25

He's better today, less pre and post sneezy.

Getting lots of rest, sleeping under the duvet.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 02/05/2015 14:38

Keep him really warm and in bed. The warmth is really good for them I think - I know that it's advantaged Seniorboy when he has sniffles.

Good luck to him.

chockbic · 02/05/2015 14:57

His voice is coming back too. Will keep him settled x

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 02/05/2015 15:37

Poor little thing. Glad he's feeling better.

chockbic · 03/05/2015 11:54

Going to check a couple of things out with the vet. Seems almost back to his bouncy self. Appetite not affected much Cake

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 03/05/2015 12:13

Glad he's better, chockbic. Let him burrow into the warmth when he wants to though - it might be the best thing for him.

Smile
chockbic · 03/05/2015 12:16

He went out briefly earlier, as he was driving us mad, in truth.

Snuggled up in his basket now, with an extra blanket.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 03/05/2015 12:31

All the best to him. Smile

chockbic · 03/05/2015 12:33

Thanks cozie.

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 03/05/2015 15:11

Ah that's good his appetite wasn't affected by his sniffliness. He must've kept his sense of smell during his poorliness.

Yay, Jack properly on the mend!

chockbic · 03/05/2015 18:53

It's probably more a sense of gluttony, than smell.

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 03/05/2015 19:03

I can relate to that. Grin
