I thought you might like to see them.

Cute kitties!

DidoTheDodo · 15/04/2015 11:50

I'm at work and it is like missing your child's first steps!! (DH is kittisitting)

I can imagine. Any chance you can sneak off home early today?

cozietoesie · 15/04/2015 13:30

They look remarkably matter of fact about it all. Smile

DidoTheDodo · 15/04/2015 13:38

I think they got a bit excited. Girlkitty (the black and white one) even refused to respond to the rattle of the Dreamies jar.

WAAH, doesn't anyone like my kitties?

I rarely post photos and when I do, only two people comment on my beautiful twins.

I am off for a big mard and to kick all the crunchy bits out of the litter tray.

Ah they are lovely. How old are they? Did you get them both back in ok? Any tips welcome as I plan to do the same this weekend.

DidoTheDodo · 16/04/2015 10:14

They are about 10 months old but have lived in a rescue centre until we got them a few weeks ago.

Boykitty is nervous and runs back to the house at anything scary, Girlkitty is more adventurous. The garden is (we think!) kitty-proofed and small so we can keep an eye on them at all times. but it's a worry! they have decided that the garden is even better than dreamies which was our "get them back in" method.

And if Boykitty can't see Girlkitty he meows so pitifully for her. Heartbreaking!

It's not the best time of year for first outside, I'll grant you. (I'm a believer in - if possible - letting them out for the first time when the rain is horizontal due to the Force 9 blowing. That gives them a 'proper appreciation' of outside.)

Are they all chipped and everything? (Thinking of your rather vain hope that the garden is proofed.)

Lovely cats they are very lucky to be in their forever home.

We thought of sending them out in the rain! We also hoped that a gallop in the garden might tire them out a bit no chance

Yes, they are chipped and everything. DH will be spending another day kittisitting in the garden today, I think.

(The garden chair has a pair and a matching table too!)

Aww bless them Grin

FrozenAteMyDaughter · 16/04/2015 10:55

They are beautiful. Black one looks like FrozenCat so I am a bit biased. Now they have a taste for the outdoors you will struggle to keep them in. We are thinking of investing in a lockable cat flap that responds to FC 's chip in order to give him a bit of daytime independence. Quite an investment though!

cozietoesie · 16/04/2015 11:00

Yes - quite an investment indeed. I think that those posters who have them value them, though.

patienceisvirtuous · 16/04/2015 11:04

Lovely :)

DidoTheDodo · 16/04/2015 11:18

We are not teaching them the cat flap (ordinary sort) just yet, so we have a better chance of keeping them under control.

Cats! Under control? Hmmmm....
