To want a mourning ring for my cat?

My lovely cat sadly died this morning. I know it sounds a bit macabre/morbid but I think a ring with her name engraved on it somewhere and a black stone might be a nice way to remember her and always keep her close to me. Apparently this sort of thing was very common years back. I'm a guy so I don't want to seem weird. Do I just sound a bit silly or does it sound like a nice thing to do?

Thank you Yes she was very chatty, she had quite a "tangy" meow and was always jumping between people looking for cuddles. She was closest to me but she'd give anyone a chance

Oh how sad - I got a beautiful slate engraved memory stone from Marbletree.co.uk and have it in the garden on the path in my cats favourite spot where she bathed in the sun x

A friend bought a nice 'man-bracelet' for some of his black Labrador's ashes. I was quite surprised because he's always been a no-nonsense kind of guy so the bond must have been deep. I guess if you keep some ashes in a memorial urn, you can always put them in other jewellery if you lose it.
